My little baker

On Wednesday evening, Kyle told me he wanted to bake a cake. So he put on his apron (it has planes, trains and cars on it) and we got to work. I had a funfetti cake mix. I added all the ingredients into the bowl and then let him mix it.

Next he helped me put all the cupcake papers into the cupcake pan. He loved doing this. I would pull them apart and hand them to him and he would say "next".

While the cupcakes were cooking and cooling, Kyle had his bath and got ready for bed. But as I promised he got to eat a cupcake before bed.... they turned out great!

Kyle and Marti

Saturday night, Kyle and I went to dinner with Dee Dee and Little Pa (Ben's parents), Aunt Moni, Uncle Jonathan and Marti. Happy Birthday Uncle Jonathan!
Kyle and Marti played great at the table and did great waiting on the food!

After we ate we went outside and Kyle and Marti got to run on the side porch. They loved this! When they found this pig right off the porch we took there picture with it. I thought these turned out too cute!

Happy Birthday Hannah!

On Saturday, we celebrated cousin Hannah's birthday at Aunt Ree's house. We had a lot of fun and Kyle thought we was as big as all of his cousins.
Kyle loved playing with the squishie ball...he thought it was funny!


After cake and ice cream we went outside. Ashley took up a lot of time playing with him. They rode the barbie jeep (Ben told me to photo shop the jeep red...ha ha) played on the swing set, and blew lots of bubbles.

Flashback Friday

In honor of Kyle's new "big boy" bed this week I had to pull out a picture of my sweet baby asleep. Kyle was 2 weeks old in this picture...It is hard to believe that 2 whole years have passed.

Kyle's BIG boy bed!

For a few weeks Ben and I have been talking to Kyle about being a big boy and getting a big boy bed. It did not really click with him until about mid week when the headboard that Mom ordered him arrived. Oh my goodness! We had to open the the head board and put it in the kitchen for him to look at. He got so excited! Everyday he would ask..."I get my big boy bed 'morrow?" and we would have to remind him that we were going on Saturday. So bright and early Saturday morning we all went to buy Kyle's big boy mattresses and bed frame. Needless to say he loved it!

(And he loved playing on the mattress cart!)

Outside of the store while Ben was putting the tarp in his truck Kyle wanted to sit on his mattresses! I even got to sneak a kiss on the cheek! :-)

Once we got home Kyle helped Ben untie the mattresses. He wanted to carry them in but thankfully I got him distracted long enough for Ben to get them inside.

After we got inside we moved the baby bed the the other side (Why we didn't take it down I don't know...I kept thinking he might want to get in it during nap time or even that night. Boy was I wrong!)
As you can see Kyle helped Ben do everything!

Headboard and Frame put together...now for the box spring. Kyle had to jump right on!

Then once we got it all put together!

Awwww....finally nap time!
