A visit to the Easter Chicks!

Friday night, we went to visit the Easter Chicks at the Mall. Kyle really got into it this visit this year! He kept wanting to hold the baby chick but then would start busting out laughing every time I would try to put the baby chick in his hand because he said its feet would tickle his hands! :-)

Even though we had already visited the Easter Bunny, when Kyle saw him he just HAD to go say hello!

Kyle's Easter Party at school!

On Thursday, Kyle had his Easter Party at school. He was SO excited all morning when we were getting ready. He kept asking me if it as "Easter Day" yet?
I have gotten much smarter this year with Kyle's Easter basket....no fake green grass in the baskets! Last year I think I was still finding and picking grass up until October, so this year when I got out his basket I didn't even bother to put the grass in it. Kyle didn't even notice and I didn't have a heart attack every time he flipped it over to wear his basket as a hat! :-)

Kyle's party was in the afternoon and I was SO proud I could go and be there with him. He had a great time hunting for Easter eggs with his class. This is honestly the best picture I could get of him because he was running from place to place to look for eggs.

But of course he took a few minutes to slide! :-)

After the egg hunt, it was time for refreshments. Kyle was being silly in this picture and trying to eat to little sandwiches at once!

Spring Festival

On Saturday, Mom and I took Kyle to the spring festival at the Bamboo Farms. It was such a pretty and warm day that I put Kyle on his first pair of shorts of the season. He kept calling them short pants! He was too funny!

They had a lot of fun things for kids to do. Kyle loved sitting up in the helicopter! He thought it was so neat and I am SO proud that he sat still like a good boy and didn't immediately start pushing buttons! :-)

Then Kyle wanted his face painted! We let him pick out any picture he wanted on his face and he picked out Curious George. He did great while the volunteer was painting his face!


Then it was time to JUMP!!!

Kyle won this large blow up Spider man at the duck pond area. So Mom and Kyle held Spider man's hands while they walked! :-)

Fun with Cousin Marti!

On Saturday, Ben's parents came to help Ben put together the storage building in the back yard (Thank you VERY much!!) and Cousin Marti came along to play with Kyle! They had a GREAT time playing together!

First Marti and Kyle picked out cookie cutters and then they decorated sugar cookies with lots of different sprinkles.

Marti wanted her cookies to be in the shape of an icecream cone, flag and a shamrock.

Kyle picked a reindeer, a football and a bat for his cookie shapes!


Then the cookies are ready!

Kyle and Marti take cookies to Little Pa and Ben. :-)


After snack time it was time to play outside! Marti and Kyle take turns playing on the slide.

Fun at Monkey Joe's!

Friday night, Kyle had a birthday party for one of his friends from school at Monkey Joe's. It was our first time going and it was SO much fun!! Kyle had a blast playing with his friends! I can honestly say he was EXHAUSTED after we left....hmmm...maybe I should take him every Friday night to tire him out. :-)

Climbing threw the inflatable maze... he even stopped long enough for me to take the picture!

This was the largest inflatable climbing wall and slide they had and guess what Kyle immediately went too?!?! At first he was having trouble climbing the purple inflatable "rocks" but after a while he got the hang of it and was a pro!

And then the fun part....the SLIDE!!
