Breakfast with Daddy

On Saturday, Ben stopped by and picked us all up breakfast, well everyone except Evan. Evan thinks he is as big as the rest of us and wanted his own breakfast so he started grabbing at his Daddy's.

Since we kept telling Evan he couldn't have the biscut, he decided to eat the plate instead!

6 months

Can you believe Evan is 6 months old today?!?

Time is flying by so quickly. Some days it seems like just yesterday that I was in the hospital with him but on the other hand I almost can't remember life with out him. Just in six short months our family has expanded for the better and I am predicting the next six months will fly by and I will probably post at one year as to where this year has gone. :-)

I remember at Kyle's baby shower someone told me to enjoy every minute with my baby because in a blink of an eye my baby will be grown. That has stuck with me and my goodness, that is so true.

Attention shoppers

My big helper checked us out of the store on Thursday night! He actually did pretty good!


However I need to publicly apologize to the 9,000 people standing behind us who did not think this was cute or did not have any sympathy at all for the tired looking mother wearing the Baby Bjorn with a 5 month old and trying to wrangle a 4 year old at the check out who "insisted" he do it all himself. Yes, I know you all were tired and cranky but come on you got to admit he was just trying to help! :-)

My night away

Earlier this week I had to attend a meeting out of town for work. This would mark my first time leaving Evan overnight. I was VERY VERY nervous and really didn't want to leave my boys but I knew I had too. I knew that they would have a great time with Daddy and probably get away with everything but as long as they were happy I knew it would be okay.

So over the weekend, I cleaned the house from top to bottom (wait I do that every weekend...), cooked spaghetti for Ben to warm up and serve on Monday night, and washed and ironed all of the boys clothes that they would need for the upcoming few days while I was out of town. While I was getting the boys clothes out and ready I thought to myself that I need to be this organized every week! I think I am going to try and work this way from now on...I will let you know how this goes. :-)

Monday morning I had to get on the road by 6 am. The boys have been doing really good and sleeping until at least 6:30ish in the mornings but honestly they must have sensed something was going on because both was bright eyed and bushy tailed before I left home. This was okay with me cause at least I got hugs and kisses... :-)

On Monday night I was sitting in my hotel room trying to catch up on a little work and my cell phone just starting buzzing and ringing off the hook. The boys were sending me lots of pictures from there evening activities. A few of the pictures are blurry but I wanted to share.

Kyle playing with some big dragon from Ben's toys. I have no idea while this picture is so small, but I guess its a good thing cause I can tell our bed did not get made on Monday! :-0

We all made it just fine being apart for one night but honestly I was SO SO very happy to get home to them tonight. They were both still up when I got home and it was so nice to hear the giggles, and get the sweet hugs and kisses.

P.S. My meeting was AWESOME and I really got a lot out of it!

Ben's Toys

Kyle has started watching the old He-Man and G.I. Joe cartoons with Ben. (Yes, Ben still watches cartoons! What can I say...I think I have 3 boys sometimes! ) :-)

Anyway....Ben picked up Kyle today from school and they met Ben's parents in Statesboro to pick up some of his childhood toys. (Thank you DeDe and Pa for getting them out and cleaning them!) Once they got home with these toys, I am not sure who was excited more. Ben was showing Kyle everything and pulling stuff out just as fast as Kyle was. It really was too cute!

Ben was happy to find this toy gun, and even more tickled that it still have the string that he tied on to it from when he was a little boy so his toy soldiers could carry it on their back.

Kyle found another man in the toys.

As Ben and Kyle went though all these toys, Evan sat beside me in his bumbo and squealed while he played with his Elephant. I think he thought his Daddy and brother were acting a little crazy! Nah, I think he really just wanted to get down and play with them! :-)
