My new friend....

The Graco Electric Nasal Aspirator!!

I am in LOVE with this thing! I know it is kind of weird (and gross) for me to be head over heals for a nose sucker but this thing is great! I did not even know they existed until my friend at work had a baby and she asked me about them. "Why no...I have never heard of them." Then I started asking around and apparently they are popular.

I am obsessed with keeping my boys noses clean! It drives me crazy when we see kids at the mall play area or in Wal-mart with snot running down their faces. I have this over whelming urge to reach out and wipe their noses (Yes, I know that is even MORE GROSS and awkward for me to want to wipe a stranger kids nose!)

So with this latest cold Evan has and the plastic blue bulb nose sucker is just not cutting it anymore. We went out on a mission to find one of these new electric nose suckers.

AHA! We found one! I purchased it primarly for Evan but once I got it home Kyle (who has had a running nose for so long that his nose has been peeling for two weeks because I have wiped it SO much) wanted to try it. Well I guess I should say he wanted to try it AFTER I chased him around the house with it trying to suck his nose. He finally agreed to try it if I let him do it himself. So I showed him where the button was and he stuck it to his nose and turned it on. With in seconds it had pulled all this nasty snot out out of his nose that I had been trying to get out with tissues. He laughed and laughed - partly because it was so gross to see everything come out of his nose and partly because he could finally breath. :-)

Kyle has been wanting to use it all the time now...Evan not so much, but I think we time he will too learn his mama's obsession. And I am one happy mama cause my boys have clean noses!

Kyle's New Ride!

Kyle has the Trike a thon coming up at school soon so we pulled out his tricycle and much to our surprise he is too big for it! His knees were literally hitting the handle bars as he tried to petal. I can not believe my baby boy has grown up so fast and I have no idea this time has gone.

So a few weekends ago, Kyle received a new bicycle from Ga Ga (my mom). We took him to a local park and let him practice on an old tennis court that is now just a concrete slab and he really got the hang of his new bike very fast.

He usually doesn't like me taking so many pictures of him but on this day he didn't care. He was just happy that he could get out and ride his bike.

While we were at Toys R Us picking out his new bike, Kyle ran over to the rack with the baby seats and accessories. He asked me if he could get a baby seat for his bike - I said " Kyle your a big boy and don't need a baby seat" he said, "No mama I need it to ride Evan around." :-)

He melted my heart....he was very concerned that Evan was not getting a new bike also and he wanted to make sure Evan could ride also. I had to explain to him that Evan was too little to ride a bike but he would be able too soon.

First shopping cart ride!

Over the weekend, Mom and I picked up Evan a new shopping cart cover. This one is super duper and much nicer than Kyle's. I love the new cushions and how it goes all around the shopping cart. It's amazing at what they come up with in four years. Anyway...Evan LOVED sitting up and looking around when we went to Wal-Mart later that afternoon.

And as you can tell big brother loved Evan sitting up in the buggy also! :-)

Breakfast with Daddy

On Saturday, Ben stopped by and picked us all up breakfast, well everyone except Evan. Evan thinks he is as big as the rest of us and wanted his own breakfast so he started grabbing at his Daddy's.

Since we kept telling Evan he couldn't have the biscut, he decided to eat the plate instead!

6 months

Can you believe Evan is 6 months old today?!?

Time is flying by so quickly. Some days it seems like just yesterday that I was in the hospital with him but on the other hand I almost can't remember life with out him. Just in six short months our family has expanded for the better and I am predicting the next six months will fly by and I will probably post at one year as to where this year has gone. :-)

I remember at Kyle's baby shower someone told me to enjoy every minute with my baby because in a blink of an eye my baby will be grown. That has stuck with me and my goodness, that is so true.
