Coloring Easter Eggs!

Wow it is hard to believe that this is the third year we have colored Easter eggs with Kyle. Yes...I know some will say that the first Easter does not count but I think it does! (Even though he fell asleep in his bumbo half way through the decorating of the eggs - he was still there!) :-)
On to this year.... Kyle had a GREAT time! Since it was a beautiful day, Ben and I decided to do this activity outside. So we cleaned up the patio table let up the umbrella and we were ready for decorating.
Kyle would drop each egg into the dye and then (sort of patiently wait) for the egg to turn a color. After the eggs were colored, Kyle would color them with the egg stencil kit markers. Since one of his favorite things to do is color, this was perfect for him.

After we colored them and Kyle drew on them we let him put as many stickers as he wanted on each. (Again stickers are another favorite!) I think our eggs turned out pretty good!

Easter Party & Easter Chicks

Today was Kyle's Easter Party at school. The kids started off by having refreshments. I think Kyle really enjoyed all the snacks that he normally does not get at home on a normal basis. In the picture below, he is eating a miniture doughnut iced in chocolate and covered in sprinkles.
Next the kids went out side for the egg hunt. They all had a great time. Kyle found 4 eggs. He was very happy with himself!
After the egg hunt, all the kids played on the playground while the parents watched. Kyle was into showing Mommy everything the playground had. We even played peak a boo with the red barrels.

After we left the school, I took Kyle to the mall where they had a display set up of baby chicks. Now Kyle REALLY loved this! At first we just looked at the baby chiks through the glass...
Then when we came back by we were able to get a baby chik and hold it up close!

Fun at the Strawberry Festival!

On Sunday we met Dee Dee and Little Pa (Ben's parents) at the Strawberry Festival. We had a had a lot of fun and thankfully the rain held off until we were ready to leave!

When we first arrived Kyle and Little Pa went down a HUGE inflatable slide that was made up like a dump truck. I think they had a lot of fun but I didn't see either one of them wanting to go on it again! :-)
Next we went to see the animals. Kyle looked at the baby cows but was really taken by the goats.
Especially when one of the goats stuck his head out of the fence and licked Kyle on the face! The picture below is of Kyle showing me that the goat got him "right there!"
Next Dee Dee and Kyle went for a train ride! This was the cutest train I have ever seen. They went round and round several times before getting some strawberry ice cream.

We had a great Sunday afternoon and we are SO glad the rain held off....Thanks Dee Dee and Little Pa for coming down and going with us to the festival!
