Halloween Party at School!

Friday afternoon, Kyle had his school party. I think all the kids had a great time! When I got there Kyle was already eating.

After the kids ate there apples, grapes, etc Miss Glenda passed out mini cupcakes. Does Kyle look so sweet holding his cupcake?! By the way...2 seconds after this picture he stuffed the entire thing in his mouth!

Kyle laughing with his friend. I love hearing them talk to each other!

Miss Pam cleaning Kyle up after eating.

THEN...Kyle finds the food and starts eating again!! :-)

After the party ended Kyle and the other kids wanted to wear there super capes (baby blankets) and fly around the room! I thought Kyle would be ready to go but he wanted to stay and play with his friends. It was great just to sit back and just watch him. I miss all of this so much while I am at work every day.

Kyle's OVERFLOWING candy basket from school!

Once we got home, Kyle and Ben had to go through all the candy and had to pick out the "good stuff".

Happy Halloween everyone!!

Patchville

Tonight marks the 3rd year we have taken Kyle to Savannah Christian's Patchville! Each year it is so fun to experience through Kyle's eyes. This year, Kyle got to pick his own Halloween costume and he chose "Buzz Lightyear!"
When we got inside we went straight for the Candy Land games for the toddler/preschoolers. Kyle wanted to stay exactly on the fun walkway the entire time.
Then he got to play lots of games...

This was hot potato in "chocolate swamp". Kyle never would through the "hot potato" to any of the other kids he would always turn around and throw it to me. I guess he just wanted me to be down playing with him.

He was GREAT at the Basketball toss game! He made a basket!

Outside was the petting zoo. Ben and Kyle ALMOST got kissed by the Llama. It was so funny! I wish I had pictures of Ben almost doing a back bend with Kyle in his arms to get away from the llama. Kyle squealed the entire time in excitement.
As you can see I picked the MUCH tamer animals to pet and look at with Kyle.

We had a great time and I can't wait to go back next year.... :-)

Painting Pumpkins

After work/school Monday evening we decided to paint the pumpkins Kyle and I picked out on Sunday. Kyle thought this was a GREAT idea and he got to pick out his colors that he would use on his pumpkin. He chose green, red and yellow. (See my smiley face!)
Once we got outside and got set up Kyle really got into paining his pumpkin.
While Kyle was painting, Ben decided to carve a pumpkin. Of course Ben wanted to do a huge design on the pumpkin but we didn't buy a big enough one. So he had to settle on the tradition jack-o-lantern face.

The finished product!!

Wait.... what's in this pumpkin?!?!

Big Boy!

LOOK! Kyle can ride his tricycle by himself!!

My baby is growing up...he is a "big boy" now!

Fall Festival

On Saturday, Mom, Ben, Kyle and I all went to the Bamboo Farms Fall Festival. We all had a great time and they had lots of stuff for Kyle to do!
The first area we went to was the petting zoo. They actually let Kyle (and all the other kids) get inside of the pen to pet the animals. I am sure those poor animals are traumatized but the kids LOVED it! Every time the bunny would hop Kyle would jump up and squeal in excitement. It was SO funny!

Next was the Pony Rides! This was great! Kyle had never gotten to ride a pony before and he loved it...even though the expressions on his face in these pictures were of total concentration. :-) (It's hard work to ride a pony around in a circle!)

Next was the Fire Truck...and I will say Ben LOVED this one! They each got to pull the horn in the fire truck. Kyle said it was "loud" and Ben said it was "cool".

We stopped in a pumpkin patch for Kyle to look at the pumpkins. He tried to pick up all the HUGE ones but then settled on this small one. His new thing to say is "Mommy, it's my favorite...I love it!" Well Kyle loved this pumpkin but when I told him we couldn't get it, he promptly threw it down. (I am so sorry Mrs. Pumpkin Lady! I hope we didn't bruise your pumpkin!)

Right before we were about to leave we spotted a turtle exhibit. Kyle got right up front and center to touch the turtle!

This was a GREAT fall festival! It was so much fun to take Kyle this year and watch him experience all of this new stuff for the first time. :-)
