Conversation with Kyle...

This morning I was fixing my hair in the bathroom when Kyle comes running in....

Kyle: "C'mon Mommy! "(He is grabbing my leg pulling me).

Mommy: "Where are we going baby?" (I am being pulled out of the bathroom at this point by my leg.)

Kyle: "This way" (as he points to down the hallway)

We turn the corner and are now in the living/dining room.

Kyle: "C'mon Mommy!" (This time with a little more aggravation... he is holding my hand)

Mommy: "What do you want Kyle?"

Kyle: "You cook!" (and he pushes me into the kitchen!)

Mommy: "What do you want me to cook?"

Kyle: "Supper! I hungry!"

This was 9:30 in the morning! He had already ate 3 mini pancakes and strawberry yogurt for breakfast!

I am scared to see what my grocery bill is going to look like when this little boy becomes a teenager! :-)

What a week!

After surviving Christmas and Kyle's Birthday we are starting to calm down and get back to a some what normal routine.

Ben has worked for the last 11 days straight with 12+ hours most nights. So Kyle and I really have not got to spend any time with him. We knew this was coming and we are so blessed that he has a great job (and one that he enjoys) but it is very hard too.

Kyle is starting to get adjusted to his new classroom. Today told me "bye bye Mommy" and ran off to start playing. He didn't get upset until he turned around and I was almost out the door. This is a HUGE improvement over last week when he started to cry when I pulled into the parking lot. One of his teacher's sent this picture of him from her camera phone... I am so very glad to see that he was okay and happy!

I have had a nasty cold most of the week, which I have labeled "The Crud". I have continued to work but I have really tried to be respectful of my co-workers and stay in my office with the door shut or if I do come out stay at a distance for the most part. I do not know if it is allergies or just a cold with all of our changing weather but I definetely do not want to get anyone sick.

I did get out for a few minutes at lunch today to run to Target for more Kleenex and cough drops. While I was there, I just happened to end up in the toys.... I know we have a small toy store in our living room now.... anyway, I found this super cool Little People Amusement Park complete with carosel, flying rockets, tea cup ride and roller coaster for his Little People. The best part it was on clearance! Kyle (and Mommy) just HAD to have it! As soon as we got home, we put it together and it really is neat. We had alot of fun making the girl ride the roller coaster and boy ride the flying rockets.
