Welcome new stove!!

We moved into this house a little over three years now and ever since then it has drove me crazy that the stove/oven has been white and all of the other appliances in the kitchen are black. Well Ben and I agreed that it does not get replaced until it breaks. I have been fine with this rule. So I have had this white stove/oven.

My microwave went out about 3 months ago now. When Ben replaced it he cracked the top of the the stove. It was okay...still usable. So we decided that we would start saving for a new one. With Christmas on the way and everything else that seems to come up replacing the cracked stove was not a priority.

Fast forward to this past Friday... I had just arrived home from my conference. Maybe I was not paying attention, tired, jet lagged or what ever you want to call it but I went to take Kyle's art box off of the top of the stove and down came tumbling down was Ben's air drill. Yes it hit RIGHT ON TOP of the stove! It made a horrible crashing noise! Mom and Kyle came running in to see me standing over this...a completely broken stove top!

So on Saturday afternoon, Ben, Kyle and I went stove/oven shopping. We went to several different places and price shopped. We found the best deal at the new HH Gregg store. They did not have a black one in stock but they did in Orlando. The store called and had it delivered today. When Ben got off of work we went into town and picked it up!

Thank you very much Tim for coming and helping Ben get it off the truck and in the house! (I'm sorry I don't have pictures of ya'll carrying it in!) :-)

Ben had a helper the entire time he was wiring the outlet on it! At times Kyle was telling Ben " I do it myself!" It was too cute! I think it took Ben three times as long to get it all done but I think he had a great time with all his "extra help."

YEAH!!! Isn't it pretty?!? Now all of my appliances finally match and my kitchen it complete!!

And yes I promise not to drop anything else on the top of this one! I kept up with this promise by not even cooking tonight on it! We went out to eat! haha:-)
