Afternoon of FUN!

I think my family has finally started getting used to daylight savings time. Well...almost. Evan's bottle times are still off and out of whack and Kyle is now laying in his bed for close to an hour every night before falling to sleep...but those things will work themselves out soon.

We have been trying to take advantage of the beautiful afternoon weather. I have been trying to fix easy suppers so we can all stay outside as long as possible.

We have signed Kyle up for T-Ball and he is SO excited! He is wanting to practice all of the time. I have to admit he is really pretty good at hitting the ball. I hope he really likes it.

He wanted me to learn how to hit the ball. He gave me lots of directions (it was so cute)!

Yeah, Mommy hit the ball!

However, Kyle was pointing and telling to run! I am suppose to run to all of the imaginary bases in the yard.

While the T Ball game was going on, Evan was enjoying his swing! He is so cute, will swing his legs and holds onto the yellow rope of the swing.

Kyle also had to ride the tetter/totter. Evan thought that was hilarious! He and Kyle were swinging opposite so when they would meet in the middle both would bust out laughing. I am so glad these boys love each other so much!

Kyle and Ben also played in the sand box a little bit.

I think we are going to need a bigger sandbox soon. Especially with two boys to play in it. I am not sure if we need to build one or if they even make bigger ones. Maybe this is something I need to add to Ben's "honey do" list! :-)

I am looking forward to more of these spring evenings. I love my little family and all of our adventures whether they are at Disney World or in the back yard...they are all just as special and the memories will last a lifetime.

Bike a thon!

On Wednesday, Kyle had his bike a thon at school. He had a GREAT time and it was SO cute to see all of his friends out riding their bikes and trikes!

Kyle and Grace riding together. They are so cute together! This is one friend Kyle has literally had since he was 12 weeks old. I hope they remain friends for a long long time.

Brother got to leave his class for a litte bit and come watch Kyle ride his bike! Before I know it, Evan will be out there riding with them. :-)

WHEW...after a morning of riding it was time for a popsicle to cool down!

Last week we went on a "last minute" mini vacation to Walt Disney World. We had the best time being away with the boys even though it was a lot of work and very tiresome. I think the boys really had a good time. Can you believe Evan has already been to Disney World twice and he is only 6 months old! I tell you that is one lucky baby! Ha ha

When I was a little girl I remember coming home from school on Friday afternoon and my parents deciding to go to Disney World or to go the the beach for the weekend. I loved the "spur of the moment" fun and excitement! (I know-HUGE shocker for those who know me and know that I must be prepared and dwell on things for days before it happens!) Anyway, I want to create those kind of fun "spur of the the moment" memories for the boys. Even though my mom worked and I never went lacking for one thing and I always remember mom being at all my activities at school I worry about this more than most realize. I want the boys to know that I am there for them no matter what. I feel SO guilty having to leave them every morning to go to work. I have been working so much lately that I think I needed this get a way with them as much as they needed it with me.

We had a great time. We took our time driving down to Florida and stopped several times. I have found a new outlet that I would like to go back and spend an entire day at!

We arrived at Disney World in the late afternoon. Kyle was SO excited because we did not tell him where we were going. We wanted it to be a surprise. Since we stayed at a hotel in the park we decided just to eat dinner at the hotel and call it an early night.

The next day was our big Magic Kingdom day! Kyle's favorite ride hands down was "Buzz Lightyear", Evan's was "It's a Small World" and Ben's was "The People Mover". We all had lots and lots of fun! First for being at the happiest place on earth but more importantly just being there together as a family.

These are times that I hope the boys will look back on and remember as a happy time and remember that Mommy and Daddy tried to be "spontaneous" and more importantly know that we will ALWAYS be there for them.

My new friend....

The Graco Electric Nasal Aspirator!!

I am in LOVE with this thing! I know it is kind of weird (and gross) for me to be head over heals for a nose sucker but this thing is great! I did not even know they existed until my friend at work had a baby and she asked me about them. "Why no...I have never heard of them." Then I started asking around and apparently they are popular.

I am obsessed with keeping my boys noses clean! It drives me crazy when we see kids at the mall play area or in Wal-mart with snot running down their faces. I have this over whelming urge to reach out and wipe their noses (Yes, I know that is even MORE GROSS and awkward for me to want to wipe a stranger kids nose!)

So with this latest cold Evan has and the plastic blue bulb nose sucker is just not cutting it anymore. We went out on a mission to find one of these new electric nose suckers.

AHA! We found one! I purchased it primarly for Evan but once I got it home Kyle (who has had a running nose for so long that his nose has been peeling for two weeks because I have wiped it SO much) wanted to try it. Well I guess I should say he wanted to try it AFTER I chased him around the house with it trying to suck his nose. He finally agreed to try it if I let him do it himself. So I showed him where the button was and he stuck it to his nose and turned it on. With in seconds it had pulled all this nasty snot out out of his nose that I had been trying to get out with tissues. He laughed and laughed - partly because it was so gross to see everything come out of his nose and partly because he could finally breath. :-)

Kyle has been wanting to use it all the time now...Evan not so much, but I think we time he will too learn his mama's obsession. And I am one happy mama cause my boys have clean noses!
