Another First...

Today, GaGa, MeMe, the boys and I ate lunch at Cracker Barrel in Statesboro. It is one of our favorite restaurants and now it marks another first for our family. After going to our 9 month "well baby" check up with Evan, the doctor told us Evan could start eating more foods or really anything he wanted. So we decided to let Evan try out those 8 pearly white teeth he has on something other than my fingers and gave him the strawberry-apple puffs.

At first, he wasn't quite sure what was in front of him, but he knew it was good. :-)

Then, as most things do, they went straight in his mouth.

Hmmmm... Not so sure about that one! I think he was confused that I was actually letting him eat them and not immediately sticking my fingers in his mouth trying to dig them out! You could hear him chomping on them and biting them in half. It was too cute!

Then Kyle started feeding them to him....

As you can tell, Kyle LOVED it!

I love that Evan is getting bigger now and wanting to play with Kyle. Kyle crawled around on the floor with Evan forever tonight. They even chased each other down the hallway crawling! You could hear both boys laughing all over the house. I love to hear their laughter and I love that they love each other so much!

Playground FUN

On Saturday, DeDe, Aunt Monica, Marti, Jonna, GaGa and MeMe all came to see our favorite T-Ball Star Kyle at his game. Of course, he did AWESOME and we are so proud of him! :-)

After the game, we went to the playground at the ball field to let the kids play. Marti and Kyle had a really good time! Don't they look so "growny"?!? I love this picture and I can't believe how big they have gotten!

Jonna and Evan had a good time swinging too. Evan almost fell asleep in the swings. It was so cute!

Kyle and Marti decided to go down the slide together one time. I think they are getting a little big and almost did not fit together but they had a good time. :-)

While at the playground, a little boy was having his birthday party complete with a pony ride. The Dad came over and invited us to come have a ride on the pony.

When it was Kyle's turn to ride the pony we sat brother on the horse also. He did pretty well even though I didn't get his signature mouth open smile.

"Take Me Out To The Ball Game"

My big boy has started T-Ball this spring. I am SO proud of him and he is really really doing a great job. He has gotten into playing T-Ball. His favorite song right now is "Take Me Out to the Ball Game". He knows all of the words and sings it repeatedly.
I love this first picture of Kyle. To me, you can see just how happy he is to be playing baseball.

Evan was holding on to the fence watching his big brother very intently.

Kyle was up to bat first. He watched the ball and swung with all of his might. He made the first run for his team!!
-
While playing in the outfield all of the kids would run after the ball. Then if they would get it they would run all the way to first base with the ball and then throw it in the outfield. It was hilarious!! :-)

Even though my boys thought I was crazy for wanting a family picture after the first game they all stood still for me to get one picture.

Kyle's School Program

On Friday, Kyle had his class program for Mother's and Father's Day. His class recited several poems and sang songs. At the end they sang "Happy Mother's Day" and "Happy Father's Day" to the tune of "Happy Birthday". All of the kids did very good! I am SO proud of Kyle because even though we could tell he was nervous to be standing in front of everyone, he did a fantastic job. :-)

Reciting a poem...

After the progam, they had a reception with refreshments. The kids mostly ran around with their friends but I was able to slow Kyle down long enough to snap a few pictures.

Me and Kyle with the flower Kyle made me. :-)

Too Fast....

Little One is just growing up too fast! This month he will turn 9 months. As of today the seventh tooth popped through, he says hey and bye bye all while waving to you, and now he is perfecting his crawling/scooting skills! This afternoon he even pulled up several times to stand up (which is his favorite thing to do!)

Now back to re-baby proofing my home! :-)
