My city boys.....

On Saturday after Jonna's birthday party, we went to GaGa's (my mom's) house. MeMe (Vicki) came over to visit the boys and with the weather so pretty, we stayed outside a good bit.  The boys LOVE to run in Mom's big yard! 

Planted next to Mom's house this year/season is cotton.  They supposedly have already come through and picked it but with those big machines, sometimes it seems like they leave more in the field than they really get.  Anyway....I realized the boys had never seen cotton or played with it.  So MeMe and I took both boys to the edge of the field (which is the side of Mom's yard) to show them what cotton looked like.

To be honest, I don't think they liked it or really knew what to think.  They touched it as if it was some sort of foreign object that they were not sure if they could or should touch.

But they did like walking and looking around in the cotton field. 

And I liked showing the boys a little things that they will only learn and hopefully one day learn to appreciate when they are visiting our hometown.

Happy Birthday Jonna!

On Saturday, we went to Swainsboro to help Jonna celebrate her 2nd birthday. The boys had a great time playing with their cousins and visiting with family.  Luckily it was great weather outside so the kids got to play outside and Little Pa took them on lots of golf cart rides.  I love Jonna's cupcake birthday cake!  I was the neatest cake I had ever seen! :-)

 While Jonna was opening presents, she stopped to show off her Dora birthday card we gave her to Kyle.  (Yes, he is wearing the birthday hats like horns!)

This picture is SO cute to me....Jonna is playing with Cookie Monster and Evan is just patiently looking on.  Ha Ha, if he was really this calm all the time!

After the party, we tried to get a picture of the four cousins together, as you can tell Marti does great! Jonna and Kyle look like they have a big secret and about to get in to something.  And Evan....well Evan does not care to look in the direction of the camera EVER.  (But even with everyone looking in a different direction or at each other, I think it is still a cute picture!)



Visiting Mommy's Office

This week has been a really busy week for me.  I had to work Monday night, had a long, busy day on Tuesday and then I had to work again tonight.  So this afternoon after Ben picked the boys up they stopped by my office to see me before I had to go to my event.  I absolutely love there little visits to my work! :-)

I had my camera at work today, so I tried to get a few pictures of the boys together.  As you can tell, Evan is still not completely there on the "stop and smile for the camera" yet. But I still think it is a cute picture. :-) 

Ben needed to run a quick errand after they got to my office so the boys stayed with me.  They found all kind of fun things to do at Mommy's work.  First thing they did was color....

Then they found MY I mean there marsh mellows that were in my desk hiding I mean just waiting for them to enjoy....

 
Then Evan looked out the window and yelled "car" at every vehicle that drove by....














When Ben got back he blew bubbles and Evan thought that was great!  

It was so nice for the boys to stop by, even if it was for 20 minutes before I went to my event.  Somehow it made my night go by a little better and faster. :-)

"Look Mama!"

Last night, I was trying to get a good picture of Evan while he was sitting in his Elmo chair.  This one is kind of cute...but he has his papi in his mouth. 

Then I told Evan to take his papi out but about that time, Elmo came on the television.

I said "Evan look at Mama".  Well he did, but this time he really wanted me to see Elmo on the TV. 

Oh well, I did TRY to get a cute smiling picture but somehow I think these turned out even cuter. :-)

Lunch with my sweet boys

After a birthday party for one of the boy's friends, we went to the mall and ate at Chik fil A.  This is our normal weekend lunch spot but today we did something special....we ate at one of the little tables.  Evan thought he was as big as his brother not to have to sit in a high chair! :-)

I tried to get both to look at me and take one picture of them together but I could not get them both looking, not eating and smiling at the same time.  So I settled for individual pictures. 

My sweet big boy - he has had 5 years of training to stop and smile for a picture.

Little bit however....well it looks like I still have some training to do. :-)
